Mapping Media Policy and Law
As part of a collaborative project with the Centre for Culture, Media and Governance at Jamia Millia Islamia, this section includes research material, notes and case law related to media policy and law. Specifically looking at pedagogic interventions, this material will be useful for students and teachers of law, media, social sciences and journalism.

Modules
- The Modules approach media law from multiple perspectives. There is an aim to consolidate colonial history, especially around contestations around political forms of state and to explore the relationship between media forms and political contestations in that period. Each module will explore the various ways legal doctrines in these areas developed, using both case law and precedent. Further, the modules will explore the relationship between forms of media and phenomological understanding of experiences of these forms. i.e. juridification of experiences of these forms or effect of juridification of forms of social relations. Informed by the work of Annette Kuhn and Foucault, the modules will also look into the production of knowledge and theory of aesthetics.
